Professor Green steals the show at MOBO Awards

The stars braved the cold to celebrate the 2010 MOBO Awards in Liverpool last night. Some of the big names were Tinie Tempah, Tinchy Stryder, JLS and Alesha Dixon…

But our favourite look of the night was Professor Green who stole the show in Persol 0649.
We also have to give special mention to Dappy who accessorised with Ray-Ban Wayfarers.

His Persol sunglasses are in the style of those seen on Steve McQueen in ‘The Thomas Crown
Affair’ and ‘The Get Away’.

The original sunglasses seen on Steve McQueen in both films were sold to a private collector in 2006. Those iconic sunglasses - with trademark McQueen blue, tortoiseshell housing, and collapsible frame - were lost to a private collector for tens and thousands of pounds. It is then put through a finishing process that creates a smooth outline and comfortable body. A supreme silver arrow - the iconic signature of Persol – decorates the temple.

2010 is the first year when a major award did not need nor deserve to go to an American act, an incredible development for British Urban Music. Professor Greene was awarded Best UK Hip Hop/ Grime Act. The big winners of the night were Tinie Tempah and JLS, leaving with two MOBOs each.
