Christina Aguilera's Bionic album in her own words

Since the release of her last studio album Back to Basics, Christina Aguilera has become a mother and a wife and most recently an actress.

But despite a four year hiatus, her new single Not Myself Tonight is the number one most added song on America’s Billboard Mainstream Top 40 and Rhythm radio this week.

The single boasts a futuristic album cover and is a nod to her musical shift these past several years.

Early this week, the 29-year-old told fans on her official website: ‘I have been hard at work over the last year or so preparing for this moment. As you know, I have just wrapped production on my first feature film, Burlesque, which will be in theatres this Thanksgiving. And I will finally be releasing my fourth studio album, Bionic, this summer on June 8th.’

She also added: ‘I am a woman who wears many hats and carries many responsibilities. There are so many characteristics that define me, and this album was put together to represent all of those different parts of myself.

She then went on to say: ‘The sound is not necessarily easy to define because I am not easy to define. I can be serious. I can be playful. Sexual. Loving. Tough. Hardworking. Honest. To capture all of these characteristics I chose to collaborate with a variety of artists and producers across different musical genres. I was able to explore and create a fresh, sexy feel using both
electronic and organic elements with subject matters ranging from playful to introspective. This allowed me to challenge myself by using my voice in ways I never had before.’

Kate Winslet splits from husband

Kate Winslet and her husband Sam Mendes are to separate after nearly seven years of marriage.

Their relationship is said to have hit the rocks after the filming of Revolutionary Road - a film about an ordinary suburban couple who break up - in which Sam Mendes directed his wife and her co-star Leonardo DiCaprio.

The couple share an estimated £30million joint fortune and have two children together.

‘The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement,' said a source to the Daily Mail. 'Both parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children.'

A statement confirming that the couple had parted earlier on in the year was issued after the actress flew to Mexico with the children while her husband was staying with friends in New England.

'Kate is devastated. She thought their marriage was for ever and now she has two children from two marriages and both are not living with their fathers.'

During the making of Revolutionary Road, the Oscar-winning actress said she felt awkward being directed by her husband - especially during sex scenes with her former Titanic co-star.

She said last year 'I just kept saying, ‘This is too weird’. Leo told me to get over it, but I said, ‘You're my best friend and he's my husband. This is definitely a bit weird’.'

She added in an interview 'Going into it, I did have several moments where I would say, ‘Oh my God, what if we have a row 'What will we do?' And Sam would say, ‘Oh, don't be silly, of course we won't.' And I was thinking, ‘Oh, well, I'm sure we won't - I hope we don't’.'

Nikki Reed on Kellan Lutz: He's got balls

Twilight actress Nikki Reed has spoken out about her co-star Kellan Lutz posing for Calvin Klein.

The actress who plays vampire Rosalie Hale in The Twilight Saga told E! Entertainment ‘I think he looks fantastic,’

‘I'm actually really proud of him...It takes a lot of balls, no pun intended, to stand and pose like that, I wouldn't have the guts to stand there naked like
that. Unless I looked like Eva Mendes!’

However, she remained tight-lipped about Breaking Dawn, the fourth and final instalment of the franchise. ‘We are making it, I do know that. As for an exact date, I don't know.’

When asked about whether or not it would be made into two films, she said ‘I do know the answer to that...’ but refused to expand her words.

In other news, Twilight stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are to join Miley Cyrus and Zac Efron in the line up of presenters at the 2010 Oscar award ceremony, an indication that show producers are banking on celebrities with youth appeal to increase home viewer ratings.

Other presenters named so far include Kate Winslet, Sean Penn and Penélope Cruz.
