Lindsay Lohan passes two drug tests

Lindsay Lohan has passed her first two court mandated random drug tests.

As part of her DUI probation Lindsay has been ordered to stay away from alcohol and illegal substances.

Her probation stems from a 2007 arrest for which she pleaded no contest to two counts of DUI and two counts of driving under the influence of a controlled
substance.

Lindsay denied using drugs following the arrest, claiming she was wearing borrowed jeans from an assistant.

She also claimed that her then 19-year-old assistant and boyfriend ‘currently use and may have set me up’ and that her ‘mother is a user.’

She was subsequently sentenced to a day in jail and three years probation.

Last month the Mean Girls star missed a probation status hearing, choosing to stay in Cannes instead and claiming her passport had been ‘stolen.’

Following her return she attended court where Judge Revel ordered her to be fitted with the SCRAM device and to undergo weekly random drug tests.

She is due back in court on July 6 2010 to determine if she has violated the terms of her probation.

Oscar winner to direct Breaking Dawn

The fourth and final instalment of the Twilight saga, Breaking Dawn, will be directed by Bill Condon, it has been announced.

Bill has directed both independent and commercial films such as ‘Dreamgirls’ and ‘Kinsey and Gods and Monsters’, which won him an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. He also scripted the film version of Chicago, produced the 2009 Oscars and directed an upcoming series pilot for Showtime – the premium cable channel – called The Big C.

However, it is still unclear whether or not it will be produced in two parts, like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Breaking Dawn is scheduled for 2011 release.

In other news, Robert Pattinson has been eating chicken from Nandos to help him bulk up for Breaking Dawn.

Robert, who plays Edward Cullen in the vampire films, is apparently feeling the pressure from co-star Taylor Lautner who has been continually bulked-up since the second instalment New Moon.

The 23-year-old is said to be a regular in the Victoria branch of the fast-food chain in London.

A source told OK! magazine: ‘The customers can never believe it is really him – or how much he eats.’

‘He’s mad about the peri peri chicken.’

Robert Pattinson confirms relationship with Kristen Stewart

After months of growing speculation that they're lovers off-set as well as on-set, Robert Pattinson has broken his silence on his relationship with Twilight
co-star Kristin Stewart

Speaking to The Sun he said, 'It is extremely difficult but we are together, yes. We can't arrive at the same time because of the fans. It goes crazy.’

He also revealed that despite sitting separately at the BAFTA Film Awards, the event was supposed to be their first public appearance as a couple.

‘This was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple but it's impossible. We are here together and it's a public event but it's not easy. We have to do all
this stuff to avoid attention.’

After the award ceremony, the couple headed to the Grosvenor House for the after-party to celebrate Kristen Stewart winning the Rising Star accolade, where they were spotted leaving at midnight.

Romance rumours have surrounded the couple since 2008 when the first Twilight film was released.

'In terms of what Kristen told me directly, it didn't happen on the first movie. Nothing crossed the line while on the first film’ The Sun quotes film director Catherine Hardwicke as saying

'I think it took a long time for Kristen to realise, ‘OK, I've got to give this a go and really try to be with this person’

They are rumoured to have finally gotten together while filming Twilight sequel New Moon last summer.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart forced apart

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are to be kept apart in a bid to quash relationship rumours.

The alleged couple have been kept apart since spending New Years together in the Isle of Wight for which they received a slap on the wrist.

Their management teams advised that their free-time should be used to focus on upcoming projects, as apposed to one another.

‘Everyone, from their management to the studios involved in their upcoming movies, is worried (Rob and Kristen) will start to become...distracted’ a source told Eonline.

‘Rob and Kristen are still together and totally cool. But they are both listening to what their teams are telling them, which is to stay focused’
another source concluded.

In other news, the kiss they share in first Twilight film has been voted one of the best kisses of the decade by Selfridges.

Meanwhile, Joan Jett has praised Kristen Stewart for her role in The Runaways, which is based on the real life experiences of band members Joan Jett and Cherie Currie.

‘It (she) was amazing. It was surreal. The first time I met her, her hair was still long. Then after she finished New Moon, she got it cut and I saw her out in LA for some rehearsals and it was really incredible. We were both laughing a lot because it’s surreal’ she told MTV news.


For Cherie Currie, however, The Runaways ‘was a little too much for me to handle,’ adding, ‘to be honest with you. For the first time, I got to see what it was like to be in an audience and look at The Runaways. It was right-on. This is all so surreal! I went to sleep, woke up in this amazing dream, and I can’t wake up. I don’t want to wake up. And guess what? I don’t have to!'

Lady GaGa opens grammys

Lady GaGa opened the Grammys with a duet with Elton John before collecting awards for Best Dance Recording and Best Electronic/Dance album.

Together they performed Lady GaGa’s Speechless before singing a unique rendition of Elton John’s Your Song. The Poker Face singer wore 6inch stiletto heels and a crystal studded leotard worth £275,000. The show raked in 25.8 million viewers,
its highest amount in 6 years.

‘I’ve fantasised about this for a while and we got to do it...I’m really just floored’ The Mirror quotes her as saying.

The 23 year old received Best Dance Recording for her single Poker Face and Best Electronic/Dance Album for her album The Fame.

In other news, Prince and Paris Jackson took to the stage at The Grammys to accept the Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of their father, Michael Jackson.

Prince Jackson, 12, told the crowd ‘We are proud to be here to accept this award on behalf of our father, Michael Jackson. First of all we’d like to thank God for watching over us these last seven months and our grandma and grandpa for their love and support. Paris Jackson, 11, nervously added ‘Daddy was supposed to be here. Daddy was gonna perform but he couldn’t perform last year. Thank you, we love you daddy. However, the ordeal was too much for Blanket, 7, who became overwhelmed moments before going on to stage.
