The X Factor judge had agreed to go on the BBC television show before she split from husband Ashley Cole last week, on which she was expected to talk about her solo career, breaking the US and baby plans.
'Cheryl will no longer be appearing on Jonathan Ross for interview. It is possible she may still perform her new single (without the pre-chat)' said a
representative for the solo star.
Chat show host Piers Morgan hopes that X Factor boss Simon Cowell, his Britain’s Got Talent co-judge, will help him secure an interview with the Girls Aloud singer when she feels emotionally stronger.
In other news, Ashley Cole is refusing to take off his gold wedding ring and is still hanging on to hopes of persuading his wife not to ditch him.
Meanwhile, the father of the Chelsea footballer says that his son deserved to be dumped for cheating on his wife.
‘Nobody can blame Cheryl for giving Ashley the boot. He’s made her look a mug.’ The Mirror quotes his father as saying, but did offer his son a helping hand of support.
‘I’ll give him all the support I can.’
