The couple briefly split last August before reuniting, but Reggie was unable to reconcile due to Kim’s public profile.
Kim is currently holidaying in Miami shooting scenes for her sister’s show Kourtney And Khloé Take Miami, while the Saints star Reggie has been out
partying in New York.
An insider told E online: 'They do truly love each other and there's no bad blood... They're even open to the idea of reconciling down the road, but need to
be apart right now.'
Reggie seemed discomposed while shooting a calendar with his teammates in New York recently, where sources say he spent most of his time texting on his phone.
An insider on set said: 'In between photos and costume changes, everyone on the set could tell something was going on. He became a little tense, at one point.'
He also disappeared to use his mobile phone in private. After an aggravated phone call, he openly moaned about his relationship with the famous socialite.
On Saturday, the sports star told photographers that he did not know where Kim was. Then when asked if they were still an item, he replied 'no more questions'.
The two are said to have agreed to keep details surrounding the split private.
