Paris Hilton has split from long-term boyfriend Doug Reinhardt, it has been confirmed.Her spokeswoman Dawn Miller told E! Online: ‘I can confirm Paris and Doug are no longer together. It was Paris who ended the relationship with Doug two weeks ago.’
Her family celebrated her newly single status at Dan Tana last night, where her parents Rick and Kathy were overhead telling their daughter how ‘relieved’ there were that she was no longer dating Doug.
A source told E! Online: ‘Paris has been over him for a while and felt bad ending it,’
The insider said that one ongoing issue between the two was a reality show Doug had in development: ‘He was trying to force Paris into doing his reality show and that caused an argument,’
They then added: ‘She has her own show going on.’
While the source said that Paris and Dough broke up 2 weeks ago, several sources have said: ‘She hasn't seen him in almost a month,’
However, Doug disputes this in his own statement to E! Online: ‘Despite what many uninformed tabloid journalists are saying, Paris and I met at her house last night and have decided to split (again). It's unfortunate that things are being said about us that are inaccurate. I continue to wish her only the best.’
Friends of the heiress said that Paris thought he was only in the relationship to get photographed: ‘She felt like he didn't love her for the right reasons,’
