Last month, various different reports suggested that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had proposed to supermodel Gisele Bundchen.
It was first reported that the couple had got in engaged over Christmas but it was swiftly denied.
Then, People magazine confirmed that they'd got engaged during early January and that the couple were set to marry, possibly in Costa Rica.
However, Gisele was quick to squash the rumours, telling Brazilian Caras magazine 'I don’t know how people are so creative. First they said he proposed to me in a plane.'
'Imagine, it was Dec. 24, Christmas, we were flying to Boston, then there was some champagne and we celebrated the date. Ready? Someone deduced I was getting engaged! I received more than 100 e-mails from friends commenting about the proposal. Now there’s a new rumour, that he proposed to me on last Friday. I wasn’t even there, how can that be true?'
But did hint that she'd already thought about wedding plans, 'This talk of Costa Rica must be for the fact I have a house there. I don’t know yet if it’s going to be here or in another country, but what I know is that it’s going to be something small, a simple ceremony. I don’t like parties, I prefer something more intimate, just for the closest people.'
Now, US Weekly is reporting that the beautiful couple tied the knot on Thursday night in a small Catholic ceremony that took place at dusk in St Monica Church in Santa Monica, California.
US Weekly says that the supermodel wore a 'form-fitting ivory lace strapless gown with a trumpet skirt, scalloped edges, long train and a floor-length veil with attached handmade satin roses and attached satin headband, all by Dolce & Gabbana.'
The model's three dogs were also part of the ceremony and were dressed in matching Dolce and Gabbana floral lace collars, bless.
