Heath Ledger's insurance company had been holding out on the paying the late actor's $10million policy but it seems the insurer has finally reached a settlement with Heath's estate. Since the Batman star passed away January 22nd 2008, Relia-Star Life Insurance Co. had refused to pay out the policy to the actors sole heir, his 2 year old daughter Matilda Rose. Even though the coroner said Heath's death was an accidental prescription drug overdose, the insurer said that he had committed suicide which would void the mass $10million claim. But on Wednesday, William M. Shernoff (estate attorney) informed Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Luis A. Lavin that the two sides had reached an agreement. 'We're pleased that we were able to reach an amicable settlement of the dispute,' Shernoff tells E! News, but refused to speak of any financial details. William Shernoff has asked the judge to keep the arrangement under wraps, the next hearing will take place on February 23rd. Disguise yourself with Ray Ban's 2140 original Wayfarer in Camo Green. |
