This past weekend, Chris Brown had been booked to sing Forever at the Los Angeles Staples Center, but instead he was detained by police officers and questioned after he allegedly roughed up his long term girl friend and pop princess, Rihanna.
The 19 year old turned himself in at a Wilshire station around 6.30pm and was booked on suspicion
Sources told E! News that 20 year old Rihanna was seen sporting bruises on her face.
A spokesperson for Chris' label declined the comment, Rihanna's publicist would only reveal that the singer was involved in an unspecified traffic mishap.
'Rihanna is well,' said Amanda Silverman, Rihanna's representative. 'Thank you for concern and support.'
Police will not reveal the alleged victim in the incident. In a statement, police said that Chris and his companion 'became involved in an argument. After stopping his car, Brown and the woman got out and the argument escalated. The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker.'
Chris had left the scene by the time police arrived.
