The Dukes of Hazzard star had planned to throw a Barbie and Ken themed bash last Saturday, but put plans on hold following the break up, and instead Tony Romo ended up spending the night at an L.A. hot spot, My House, on the eve of the curvaceous blonde's special day. 'She canceled her party because of this,' a source told US magazine.
Jessica Simpson began dating the Tony Romo, 29, back in November 2007, around the 2 year anniversary of her split from ex-husband Nick Lachey, who recently split from long term girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo.
Speaking to her fans via Twitter, Jessica Simpson wrote, 'Barbie party didn't happen, but I turned 29 and feel like I am on top of the world yelling I LOVE GETTING OLDER.'
'Everyone needs to know that hope floats...grab the strings and pull it back to you... Falling asleep with my mom and the dogs. Please, Lord, give all of my beautiful fans, friends, enemies, and family rest. Bring all of us peace.'
Jessica Simpson is said to be 'heartbroken' and has previously described the American Football ace as 'the love of my life' and frequently expressed her desire to have children with him within the media.
Another source told the magazine, 'She loves Tony. But it's been difficult lately. adding that 'He's busy with his career and she's getting ready to shoot her show (The Price of Beauty). They decided to part ways.' Although it's still not clear as to whether or not the couple parted on mutual terms.
Despite her recent heartbreak the singer seems to have remained positive. On Sunday she posted on Twitter, 'Everyone needs to know that hope floats... grab the strings and pull it back to you.' 3 hours later, she added 'Falling asleep with my mom and the dogs.
'Please lord give all of my beautiful fans, friends, enemies, and family rest. Bring all of us peace.'
