Lady Gaga has joined forces with Bono as part of the Product RED campaign in the fight against AIDS in Africa. The Poker Face singer has designed an exclusive set of headphones to help raise extra funds for the organisation that has helped change the lives of millions. U2 front man Bono helped set up the unique product range alongside Bobby Shriver in 2006 and has also enlisted the help of Nike, Gap, Starbucks and Emporio Armani help boost the scheme. ‘This is a very big day for everyone involved in the fight against AIDS. Nike is about winning, and if we keep our concentration over the next few years, things might start to turn around’ Bono tells the Daily Star. ‘Lady Gaga is the latest warrior to get involved. You no Dr Dre did those Beats headphones, the big ones, you see people wearing around their neck? Well Lady Gaga is launching her own RED headphones and they are the best money can buy’. In further news, Lady Gaga admits she was forced to reveal more of herself than she would have liked when she first started out in music. ‘My album covers are not sexual at all, which was an issue at my record label. I fought for months and I cried at meetings. They didn’t think the photos were commercial enough’ celebrity-mania has quoted pop singer as saying. She goes on to talk about working as a waitress, ‘I was really good at it. I always got big tips. I always wore big heels to work! I told everybody stories, and for customers on dates, I kept it romantic. It’s kind of like performing’. |
