Beyonce and Jay-Z have made the decision to change their names. The rapper now wants to be referred to as Shawn Knowles-Carter, and the pop diva wants to be known Beyonce Knowles-Carter.
‘They want to keep Knowles because Bey’s parents didn’t have any sons and they’re keen to keep the name going strong, especially if they don’t produce any sprogs themselves. Or if they end up just having girls’ a source tells the Daily Star.
Meanwhile, Beyonce Knowles is to perform at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles next month.
The 10-time Grammy winner is up for 10 nominations including record of the year (Halo), album of the year (I Am Sasha Fierce) and single of the year (Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it).
Other acts set to perform at the ceremony include Black Eyed Peas and Taylor Swift.
